I graduated from the University of Arizona in June and got a job as a freelance writer for a few online magazines. I was so excited to have found a job right out of school, and one that let me work from home here in Tucson. As long as I had my laptop, I’d be able to submit my work. Ugh, that laptop. Apparently bringing a laptop to the pool to do work isn’t such a good idea when there’s kids splashing and diving around the pool. My laptop got so wet while I was sunbathing, and it stopped working altogether when I tried to work. I had to act fast, but no bank in Tucson, Marana, Vail, Cortaro, or Oro Valley would approve me for a loan that day because I have no credit being right out of college. A Tucson company provided me with a car title loan online, and it was a great alternative to a personal bank loan. I got my cash delivered right to my door the next day and I was able to keep my car! Needless to say I got my new laptop that next day and am keeping it nice and dry!
