Ask a title loan employee. Honest answers to title loan questions in AZ

Q: “What do you look for when you approve people for a car title loan?” – Wendy J, Phoenix

A: I think the number one thing is the vehicle. Most people think their vehicle has no value and can’t qualify. Mind you for some this is true. An old wreck will not qualify because it is not running and has no value but because we give loans as little as $750 on up to any amount, almost all cars are approved for use. We really are in interested in the persons credit history. They can have bad credit but we just can’t loan money to people who has no chance at repaying it. So we do look to see if a person is in active bankruptcy or in consumer credit help right now. I also do not care if people are behind in their bills because after all, isn’t that why people need a loan?

The person I like helping the most is the people who are unafraid. This means that if they work with us and be honest we can get them more money and approve them faster. I am not perfect so I use software to help me but at times I have to use my own judgment. It helps when people work with me because that’s when I work outside the box and I feel I can help more people.

Mike has been an underwriter for Need Cash Now for over 2 years and has approved over 1000 people for loans in Arizona. He is the leading title loan officer for Maricopa County and is responsible for approvals throughout the state.
